Our Story

The YFN 2010 Project Youth Team will include Yukon First Nations youth (age 19-29) from across the Territory representing a balance of Yukon’s eight (8) native languages across 14 First Nations communities. In partnership with the Four Host First Nations and Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, our Youth Team will participate in training, orientation, leadership and mentoring programs as well as attend the Vancouver 2010 Indigenous Youth Gathering – a gathering of First Nations, Inuit and Métis youth from across Canada – the two weeks preceding the Games

Finally, YFN 2010 Youth Team will participate as Yukon Ambassadors on the ground during the Yukon’s day at the 2010 Aboriginal Pavilion, February 21, 2010 and share their experiences in Yukon with all Yukon First Nations people and the world through social media networks and dedicated websites.
